Scotland is not a destination that should be rushed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its total land of 77,901 km\u00b2, filled with castles, lochs, isles, munros to donalds and the Lowlands, Scotland is a country made for touring – slowly, thoughtfully and emotionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of our guests arrive with a list of famous landmarks like \u201cHarry Potter\u2019s Bridge\u201d, Glen Coe, Loch Ness and Nessie, the Fairy Pools in Isle of Skye, The Old Course, St Andrews and Edinburgh Castle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Scotland is best experienced through its changing seasons, skies, beautiful countrysides, quiet single-track roads with passing places, shifting landscapes and the emotions that unfold naturally between destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From my observations, the moments they remember most are not the destinations themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the feeling of watching morning mist drift across Rannoch Moor <\/a>or the Torridon Hills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quiet view from the windows of our V-Class as the mountains of Glencoe emerge through the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A peaceful coffee stop surrounded by jumping lambs and grazing sheeps in a small village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The golden evening light along the coastal roads of Fife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the taste of freshly cooked fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce after a long scenic drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
